Norm Macdonald, the deadpan comedian, actor, writer and “Saturday Night Live” star, has died after a battle with cancer, Variety has confirmed. He was 61.

“He was pretty funny on “The Middle” for a few episodes”
Yeah I have been recoding re-runs of the Middle. Saw just last week where Norm’s Character burned down his house at or around Thanksgiving. He played the main Character Mike Heck’s dimwitted Brother Rusty. he was in 10 episodes over the years.

MacDonald was a very funny and entertaining guy, and I am sorry for what he had to go through with cancer, and what his family has to deal with going forward. 61 is way too young. RIP, Norm, and sincere condolences to your family.

That was a funny compilation of skits, but I never saw SNL after Belushi died, while I was working in Midtown.
We got tickets to the show thru our ad agency whenever I wanted them; same for Broadway plays. I did miss a lot of years of SNL before moving to PA.
