The state governments are calling the shots here and some of them...have become pretty totalitarian over COVID. The Federal government can’t stop them doing that - but people overseas seem to think they should be able to, and so wind up blaming the PM and his conservative government for things they really have no control over.”
From what I have seen Morrison is cheerleading it and proposing measures at the federal level.

It’s the same in Canada. I don’t believe that the decisions of the Provincial Premiers and Health officials are truly independent though. They’re working together and taking guidance from Trudeau, who has instructions from Soros, et al. They have to keep up the appearance of being independent, which is why some provinces have much stricter rules than others, but the game is rigged.
