mAbs
are a B-cell clone of 1 specific antibody. The mAbs are made by injecting a protein into an animal to make polyclonal antibodies (this is normal Ab production, to many different parts of the invading organism). One is selected out in the lab, fused to a cancer cell, which is then grown to produce the mAbs in culture. The mAb only binds to one thing.
