Why would they discredit a drug they readily sell if their studies showed it not effective?
Because the patent has expired and it can be sold generically very cheap.
The patent has expired. Ivermectin is a generic drug. Even if it was approved, insurance companies would not pay for the Merck version because less expensive generics are available.
