I agree, but I have to cut some slack in this particular case...it is an “Opinion piece/”Letter to the Editor”...but on the other hand I don’t see any Op-Ed’s with an alternate view being published by the L.A. Slimes.

Eh. I know. We kind of expect that from them.
Funny. Those days of writing letters to the Editor died years ago for me. I haven’t read a paper as an act of newsgathering or watched a news broadcast in full since the mid-late Nineties.
As a result, I don’t write letters to them anymore, either. I was going through papers, and found a few old letters to the Editor I kept. It was before I realized just how utterly compromised and useless the media was.
I had known for some time they were useless and compromised, but it all came together then and I’d had enough. I saw the full extent of it.
I tried to keep in mind that, they aren’t in the business to convey truthful information, they are in it to make money as Freeper conservatism_is_compassion has eloquently stated over the years, and that is as good as far as it goes. But the REALLY destructive paris is that they are fully engaged in policy advocacy and even as we saw during the Trump and Flynn political persecutions, full blown collaboration with the Left.
So, for me...that largely sets the stage for anything the emanates from them.
