"Anyone have a tip for wrapping 5 pound sugar bags so ants wont get them"

I vacuum sealed a few bags (each in it's own sealed bag) & stored them on a shelf & so far so good. They've been there probably 5+ years. No ants

Canning jars work, too, but at subject to breaking if dropped.

I never thought to use vacuum sealed bags. Probably because I’ve had bags of sugar chewed open by mice.
