Up to now anyway.
A “wise physician” doesn’t assume everyone else is completely scientifically ignorant, nor does he refrain from contributing his own expertise to a discussion to which one expects he is qualified to contribute.
I am also unaware of any FR practice (I have been here since 1998) in which people are expected not to respond to the posts of others.
Just MHO. You work out the right thing to do, and to say, as you think best.
And we have just passed the 100,000 covid hospitalizations mark for the second time. The first time was in January.
The monoclonal antibodies are very good and I give a lot.
I still have zero deaths of vaccinated pts. It happens but not to me so far.
I asked my ID colleague/friend that question. His response? Who knows. I guess same one since I had Pfizer. Moderna not cleared for booster yet but will be. Pfizer is what my office has, too.
What you think? Might also make sense to produce a different immune response.
my apologies — you are correct. I am a little salty tonight. Please, I offer my sincerest apologies — the attacks have been pretty impressive of late.
Again, I am sincerely sorry
Still, what is your view on what a third shot should be, the same or different?
there are data that suggests moderna produces a more robust response. There are data that further suggest that the booster not unlike the heptavax will produce longevity.
I also have had no deaths or critical illness in the vaccinated population. I am inclined to pursue a mixed approach as standard immunity would suggest multiple different exposures to slightly different strains is more robust.
I will probably go with the moderna — will keep you in the loop.
fortunately I don’t think it will matter much. i think a booster with either the same or the other will give. the response we are looking for. In the future the question will be should it be a 3 shot sequence like now or a 2 shot - one at time 0 and the second in 4-6 months?
“Those who donâÂÂt want to get it be extra careful.”
And don’t tough out cold symptoms like you’ve always done before.
Seek testing/treatment EARLY.
Gates is all over this. Downloads are free. Roughly 20% of those dying are injected. It ain't that much better to be injected.
I don’t know enough about the coding of the mRNA in Pfizer v. Moderna to have an opinion about whether an « opposite » dose #3 would broaden your response to a new infection.
I got Pfizer and I’m planning to get #3 as Pfizer also.
By the way, I’m not thinking of the third dose as a booster but rather as completion of the primary series. If the graphene doesn’t get me I should be good to go.
Yes. That would make sense.
Makes sense — watch out for the magnetic response.
“… Salon reports: Delta variant twice as likely to hospitalize its victims, new study finds.…”
*************************************************************
In the Variant Proportions Tracking, I see the new “Nowcast” posting for the week ending 8/28/21 has about 99.4% of cases sampled were Delta variants. What a bully! It’s amazing how quickly that Delta has monopolized new infections.
When I get my booster I’m requesting extra graphene oxide but hold the onions please……….👨🏻🔬🧅
That is awesome!
Me, too!
“COVID hospitalizations for unvaccinated people cost the health care system more than $2 billion in June and July.”
Why not balance that with what the vaccines have cost US taxpayers? And include the boosters.
I had COVID and got paralyzed from the @pfizer vaccine that I received. Don’t talk to me about temporary anything because I still have many side effects from the vaccine. You are just a Twitter troll that wants to cause trouble. Just move on!— Brandy McFadden (@McfaddenBrandy) August 30, 2021

They touch on that at this link, but not comprehensively:
https://www.wwnytv.com/2021/08/31/covid-19-hospitalizations-cost-150x-more-than-vaccine-costs/
“Medicare pays about $40 for each shot. Multiply that by two, and in some cases add an additional $35 it has to pay each time a shot is given at a home or group living setting.”.

This is referencing the so-called Delta4+ Variant, which has not occurred naturally, but was analyzed by Japanese researchers to be a combination of mutations that would allow Delta to evade current vaccine protection. It could be engineered.
