I watched a documentary about that on NHK. Those ghost cities you see are all real estate speculations that the contractors gathered money from customers for then bailed out. Mass coruption in business there. 3 families paying for the same appartment with their life savings.

How is it that China can control the world right now but can not protect their own People, let me see...
