LJ: In your view, businesses can force employees to do or not do a huge list of things,

X: Again wrong. Businesses can make you make decisions you might not otherwise make to stay employed with them. There is no force. As noted in an earlier comment a poster worked for a company that treated its people like crap. But they paid well. So in the calculus better money was worth being treated as crap. Is taking the jab worth the dough> I’d say no. So I’d drag it out get fired at the worst time for them. Take UI and see if I have an action against them for wrongful termination.

—————

I learned a long time ago that it is less about our choices than it is understanding the consequence of our choices. It matters not if we agree with known or perceived consequence, just that we can accept it.

This is what I find fascinating about free will and freedom in general. When we choose true freedom, we often choose jail as a consequence of putting freedom in practice.

We can choose Satan and spend eternity in hell or we can choose Jesus and spend eternity in heaven.

Each of us needs to weigh the consequence of our actions and be ready to defend them.

My employer says one of our major clients wants his employees to take the jab. If he chooses to comply with tyranny and expects to extend it to me, he is sadly mistaken. My choice is, I will lose my job.

It is not “fair” but I accept the consequence.

I wonder if my employer has thought about the consequence of profit over freedom?

Maybe it’s different in the US, but in Canada, we have established case law on this subject.

Consent requires that it be freely given. It’s not consent in Canada if you’re coerced into submission by reason of fear, threats, force, or fraud. Consent to medical treatment is a protected right and it’s considered assault if it’s done without consent. Consent must also be informed, so a person must be made aware of the risks, which is not possible yet for the jabs. Force or coercion applied by the exercise of authority (employer who threatens the loss of your job) is NOT consent under Canadian law. I have to believe that the US has similar case law. I can provide the case law citations if requested.
