I could not disagree with you more. And Trump agrees with me. A bill preventing businesses (or cities, counties etc) from violating the constitutional rights of citizens in order to work would be an excellent law, not “evil big government”.
This means employers (other than the state) can also require or prohibit all manner of other things - no gun owners, must wear rainbow fag pins, must get other vaxes, and anything else they come up with.
I am very surprised you do not understand this, it’s very simple. Government is there to protect the rights of citizens.
