I should have said over 65 OR with significant health factors.
Here is the criteria - it is the same for my doctor and every infusion center near me in Georgia, I know because I checked their websites.
You have to have at least one of these conditions:
Over 65
BMI > 35
Diabetes
Weakened immune system (HIV, AIDS, RA, Lupus, asthma)
Receiving immunosuppressive treatment
55 or older with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or COPD
The order set I have on front of me for my region says over sixty five
Or over 18 with
Any cardiac disease
Any pulmonary disease
Any inmunosuppresion
Or any other condition in which my medical judgment would make the Patient high risk for severe disease.
The last one is phrased in such a way as to make it easy for any physician to get a patient monoclonals
In Florida, DeSantis has de facto even removed this by setting up monoclonal distribution centers that allow walk in patients.
I think they’ve lowered the BMI requirement to just being over 25. That’s just overweight not even obese.
