Back in the late 60s and early 70s Yvon Chouinard was a real name in high wall climbing, his pitons and other rock gear were the gold standard. I had a lot of it.
Then he found out that selling trendy clothing to gopniks made more $$$ with less chance of being sued.
Now, IMO, just another place selling crap Chinese logowear fleece. Has been for a very long time.
North Face is owned by VF Copr - that also owns Dickies and several other clothing brands.
I have a Patagonia winter (outer) cloth shell in the closet. Over 20 years old & still usable & in decent shape. Only issue is after 20 years, the waterproof coating inside the shell has deteriorated away.
Got my money’s worth out of their product.
