That was always a stupid premise anyway because the major systems (engine/trans/body panels/etc are manufactured on a multitude of days and then put together.

Thank you for pointing out the workings of the assembly line. Obviously parts are made on different days. It was an old pshaw, perhaps from before your birth. I heard it in the 50s.
