China attacking Taiwan cannot do anything other than SINK the world markets, stock and trade. While lots of our phones & gadgets get built on the mainland, a big share of the high-tech comes from Taiwan. Xi attacking is like Hitler into Soviet Union, a tripwire with very serious and very murky repercussions from the entire world, not just the USofA!
Sadly, Joe’s idiocy with Afghanistan does increase this chance that Xi might “carpe diem”! Joe Chamberlin, a bad man in a bad place making very bad decisions!
China has played the long game, and played it brilliantly.
The Mao years were all about China weaning themselves from all foreign influence. Yes, it cost millions of lives, but the mission was accomplished.
Once done, China could then open back up to the world, but this time, on their terms. And sure enough, Capitalists couldn’t resist the lure of cheap labor and cheap manufacturing costs, without worries about those pesky environmental regulations back home. Plus the lure of a market of a billion Chinese consumers.
The trap was set. Western countries leveraged their entire economies on China. And now the trap is getting ready to be slammed shut.
Not all of Chamberlain's decisions were bad, as a matter of fact. He was trying to buy time to build up Britain's military. For instance Britain had the Spitfire for the Battle of Britain because of Chamberlain.
Taiwan and South Korea and Vietnam then all of SEA. The Chinese satrap in Washington makes it all possible.
