I wonder when we look back down the road, what will people more or less agree was the “turning point” for the restoration?
Depending on your choice of analogy, I submit the following options:
The absolute disaster in Afghanistan more closely correlates to:
A. The point where the Titanic actually hit the iceberg, with the actual sinking to come some time later.
B. The Deep State Stalingrad. A catastrophic defeat, from which the Deep State can never truly recover from.
Keep in mind that in both options, neither end result was particularly imminent upon those observing.
