Interesting point - there are also executive orders that declare a “State of Emergency” in the United States. There may be another Avenue used to declare a state of Emergency as well.
In any case, I’m pretty sure the USA has been in a continuous state of Emergency since 1934.
I did not follow what Trump did in this regard, but I bet he continued them.
We used to wonder how the German people, some of the most educated and informed people on earth, went along with the Nazi regime for as long as they did and as wholeheartedly as they did.
