That’s surprising ... truly ... I had no idea it was that high a level of seniors participation in the vaccine trials.
1. Most seniors are used to following doctor's orders.
2. Seniors in assisted living may not have as much access to alternative information. Probably watching CNN and not on the internet much.
3. Seniors probably remember when the vaccination for polio came out; that was a big deal at the time and a time of celebration. May have felt the same thing here.
4. Seniors were pretty much first in line; not as much was know about the vax side effects then as there is now.
5. Some seniors might feel like they're helping get life back to normal and would rather the guinea pigs be them than their kids/grandkids.
