Covid fearers are just not rational in general. They go based upon emotions and no matter how well you present the facts, they have a tendency to go loony toons on you.

For instance, I was relating how Covid policies have killed more folks than the virus ever did. They immediately switch to this mantra that even if one person was killed by Covid, it is too much.

Then I countered that if you talk the nursing home deaths out of the picture, that it hardly is as bad as the flu. To that they call you a Hater, or a racist. or whatever name-calling they can come up with.

Lately, I have thought of telling them the Democratic Party is dying through Covid. That Democrats are fleeing the Democratic cities in Droves and that businesses are fleeing them even faster (and not planning to come back). But I suspect the Covid fear mongers will just pivot on me yet again.

So arguing with them is pointless. Go live your life and have fun. Have fun with your friends who do not want to talk about it either. Love those you love, and go on with your life.

Wasting time with the Covid fear mongers is for those who can get on them fast and who can outtalk them. I suspect you will have to call them Haters, fear mongers, racists and generally bad people first and shock them. But even then, I think they will go back to their swill in a day or two.
