I’ll go with President Trump’s word and a mountain of scientific evidence...

Still playing the Trump card, eh pharma?

Mountain of fake scientific evidence and lies, you mean, right?

Boy, you got it bad.

Is Trump saying take the booster? Is he taking the booster? Are you gonna take it?

Trump hasn’t been president since January 20. He doesn’t own Warp Speed anymore than he owns the Afghanistan pull out. So quit bringing up Trump. He didn’t know the vaccines would lose 30%-50% effectiveness after six to seven months. If you think that hasn’t happened ask yourself why the boosters are being pushed.

"Is Trump saying take the booster? Is he taking the booster? Are you gonna take it?"

I haven't heard President Trump (he carries that title for life and he's absolutely earned it) comment about the possibility of boosters just yet. He's consistently said people should get vaccinated. Personally, I think a booster can make sense for people who have a compromised immune system and didn't respond as well to two shots. There's a lot of evidence that a third will create a much better response in many of the people who fall into that category (e.g. cancer patients, transplant recipients, etc.) I'm not in that category so I don't see a reason for me, personally. If/when a Delta-specific update becomes available, I'll consider whether it makes sense for me at that time, based on published research about its efficacy.

"Trump hasn’t been president since January 20. He doesn’t own Warp Speed anymore than he owns the Afghanistan pull out. So quit bringing up Trump."

President Trump has repeatedly demanded credit for his role in bringing these vaccines to market. I agree with his assessment and agree that he deserves that credit. Why keep bringing him up? Because President Trump is often the voice of reason in a world of fake news and emotional nonsense. He cuts through the BS.

"He didn’t know the vaccines would lose 30%-50% effectiveness after six to seven months. If you think that hasn’t happened ask yourself why the boosters are being pushed.

The boosters are being pushed for the immunocompromised because there's strong evidence they can help those individuals build more immunity. The polio vaccine requires four doses to reach maximum effectiveness. For everyone else, the drop in efficacy is specific to the Delta variant. I've seen zero evidence that there is any drop in efficacy for any earlier variants. The Delta variant contains specific mutations to the S protein which alter its shape such that antibodies to previous variants of SARS-CoV-2 don't fit as well. It also contains mutations which cause more rapid infection and much higher viral load in the respiratory tract. The result is a reduction in efficacy for both vaccination AND immunity gained with recovery from natural infection. BOTH groups are seeing more infections with Delta. Reinfection has gone from roughly 1 in 10,000 before Delta to roughly 1 in 6,000 with Delta. Still good protection, but reduced.

There's nothing wrong with the vaccines. Even with Delta, they're still protective against severe illness. They're just blocking fewer infections. They were never perfect and were never advertised as perfect. But they're the best prevention tool available. And yes, President Trump absolutely agrees with that. And yes, President Trump's opinion still matters. At least to those of us who continue to support him.

No there's not.

You saying a thing does not make that thing so. And you say way too many things.

Consider what is posted by any FReeper against what they have posted previously.

What a very subtle personal attack, Furry. You are a slithering snake. One minute chastising people for 'personal attacks' and the next, doing it yourself.

Mister neutral you are not, despite your claims. You are despicable, no offense.

p.s. I think you don't like people that have something to say, considering that you don't.

He 'accidentally omitted' my link to the MSM video with "drinks water with two hands like a child" in the title. The MSM was sneering he drank 'like a child', and I was quoting them, and suggesting he was sending a message.

Vaccines don't usually work for corona virus (RNA virus) because the virus evolves too quickly, issues with ADE and there are issues with immunity - that is why we don't have a vaccine for the common cold.— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 16, 2021

And the vaccines are only about 60% effective in preventing SARS-CoV-2 infection by Delta and the durability of the immune response is about 6 months. But you really have not been paying attention, have you?— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 17, 2021

I guess I need to say this again.
1) Delta has an Ro of about 8, about 3x that of the Alpha (ref- CDC). With these leaky vaccines, if we were to have 100% vaccine uptake and perfect mask use we cannot stop the spread of Delta (ref- CDC).— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 17, 2021

2) the current vaccines provide about 50-60% efficacy in protection from infection. They are not fully protective.— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 17, 2021

3) if you are vaccinated and become infected ("breakthrough"), the virus will replicate at the same or higher levels than if you were unvaccinated and then become infected.— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 17, 2021

4) if you are vaccinated and then become infected, your risk of transmitting virus to someone else is quite high - remember, the Ro measures how likely you are to transmit the virus.— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 17, 2021

5) if you are vaccinated and then become infected, your risk of developing severe disease or dying is better than if you were not vaccinated and then become infected with Delta.— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 17, 2021

6) Therefore, if you are vaccinated and then become infected, you MAY have a higher risk of becoming a "superspreader" because you are less likely to show disease. This has not been measured, but it should be.— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 17, 2021

1-5 are all true per the CDC. Please do try to pay attention. #6 is hypothesis.— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 17, 2021

I posted a URL to your post on your theory why President Trump was drinking water ‘like a child’ (you put those single quotation marks around that phrase and a reasonable reader would understand why).

2 paragraphs of your post were provided.

The URL of your post was provided, so any reader who went to the link could verify what you posted.

Suggesting motives of dishonesty is just deflecting from the main premise in my initial post -

“I think short of profanity or personal attacks, posts from any FReeper are what makes FR a good site.”

“I also believe that what people write is theirs and their credibility should be evaluated against previous posts.”

“Consider what is posted by any FReeper against what they have posted previously.”

Thanks! Informative discussion!

Well, here’s video of him taking credit: https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/555247-trump-takes-credit-for-vaccine-rollout-one-of-the-greatest-miracles

Here’s his statement: https://www.bostonherald.com/2021/05/14/on-anniversary-of-operation-warp-speed-trump-asks-for-a-simple-thank-you/

From that statement: “Without the vaccines, this world would have been in for another 1917 Spanish Flu, where up to 100 million people died. Because of the vaccines we pushed and developed in record time, nothing like that will be even close to happening. Just a mention please! The Biden Administration had zero to do with it. All they did was continue our plan of distribution, which was working well right from the beginning!”

He also took credit (deservedly so) in his December 2020 announcement of the Pfizer EUA: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=395994665075868

And again at CPAC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJTlo4bQL5c (28 minutes in)

Your claim he hasn’t demanded credit for the vaccines is demonstrably false, in the President’s own words, in video and in written statements.
