I did a search of punishment of slaves in ancient Egypt. I couldn’t even read a lot of it in details, very gruesome. But there is no mention of this thing until 2021. I do not believe this. I think it is all based on this picture and it looks to me like a medical procedure of some kind. Slaves, IIRC, were all shaved. This man has hair or a wig, and slaves had, iirc, neither.
I think it’s made up.
Somebody’s telling a rumour at one end of the ship to see how fast it spreads.
I call fake on that picture.
