You'd be surprised what somebody will stick in a wound.

So, this one time? At band camp? I came upon this dude who had a gaping six inch slash on his throat. Blood was shooting out like Old Faithful. His neck had opened up and looked like a large extendo female body part which will remain nameless, cause I got class.

Having no mask (pre-covid), and thinking fast. I stuck my raw, naked hand in his new body orifice and walked him to medical.

Sidenote: A male nurse (like David Chase) got on the elevator with us and I said, "Look at this, Rick", and took my hand out of his living neck. He gasped and jammed a towel he was carrying into it.

There are more fun details but they are irrelevant to the subject.

The moral of the story is, you use what you can in extreme circumstances when time is of the essence and blood is involved.
