California reported 14,099 new cases on Friday, the highest one-day total the state has seen since February 1, 2021. That is up from 10,450 new cases reported the day before, and comes amid a general trend of rising cases and quickly rising infection rates.
Things get a little murky from there, as the state’s case number reporting on many recent days has included the proviso, “Numbers may not represent true day-over-day change as reporting of test results can be delayed.” See for yourself here.
Such was the case with Thursday’s case numbers and for most of the days in the past week. But today’s count did not include that disclaimer, which would seem to indicate today’s numbers are up to date.

I’ve been following my county’s data closely—it looks like the Delta variant peaked a few days ago and everything is coming down: cases, deaths, hospitalizations. My county (Contra Costa) is supposedly 82% vaccinated.
Were there bodies everywhere in May?

I deal with this daily. People getting tested for a cold. They just have to know if they are in the “club”. Almost no symptoms but they run to be tested. I know someone that has had 10 negative tests. Statistically speaking they should have had a false positive by now. Crazy people wanting to get time off work IMHO.

I’m in commiefornia and my brothers 16yo son got it from his friend and brought it home. Now bro, sis inlaw, and his daughter got it it was a cold like flu symptoms for all of them. No hospital or doctors needed.

Covid numbers are total BS. Someone needs to organize retired military and retired LEOs to investigate all the dirt on CA politicians back to birth; follow the $$$. You can count on two hands the number of California politicians who may be honest. They’re all amoral, corrupt, self-serving, power-hungry vermin.
This suggestion should be done for every town, city, and state in the USA.
I’ve had several colds since this thing all started. Never tested, been everywhere, and never got it that I know of. Went to my doc Thursday to make sure I get my pain meds filled and we were talking about it. They took blood to run tests on me. One is to see how high my immunity is. The other was to see if I’ve had Covid. I was like...whatever, I’m not going to stop living now. Never did during the worst of it and not gonna stop now. lol
