Years ago, I had to read a lot psych books about the dark siders among us and I became properly terrified about them and the human capacity to rationalize anything, no matter how heinous or evil it might be, whenever we’re in in the right wrong situation.

When I was scaring myself with those things, there were two additional events that raised my inner personal terror level even higher, to the level where the science fiction, fantasy and horror stories that scared the bejeezus outta me in my youth could actually happen for real … and soon.

When news hit that the human genome had been fully mapped, the jolt of fear was immediate and has not left me, but instead has increased each year since then.

The second thing that scared me silly was learning just how easily manipulated human beings are, all of us without exception, and the various tricks that are used to fool us and play us and even reprogram us.

“My how time flies” fast forward from then and now I watch it all happening for real.

That science fiction, fantasy and horror stuff that scared me so bad has teamed up with the necessary political ideology to make it all happen!

I watch with wonder in real time as the Fauci funded Wuhan flu changed the world and now their mandated genetic modifications to “fix” our DNA will change us, too!

I wonder which science fiction, fantasy or horror story is most predictive about what might come next.

Steven King’s The Stand comes to my mind first. How about you?
