Article mentions Hawaii in addition to Easter Island. Wonder where else in the world these fresh water seeps into the ocean exist, but have never been identified? Could help alleviate the world's fresh water shortage a bit.

From what I have been told there is a fresh water spring off Jacksonville Florida large enough to supply Florida with all the fresh water it needs but as of today is going untapped.
North Florida is famous for fresh water springs all over the place.

"At some of these locations on the shoreline, there is so much water coming out (from the seeps) that it's basically fresh. It's somewhat salty, but not unpalatably salty," DiNapoli said. "It's just not the best-tasting water, basically."

I believe that the term he is searching for is brackish.

Regards,
