yeah im buying cheaper cuts miss my costco new yorks, bought a sous vide and used it once so far with a tri tip pretty good, meat was softer and cooked evenly just took a lot of time.

I just recently began seeing tri tips in our store. (I’ve seen them up in NY, when visiting, but not in TX.)

What cut would you compare it to, especially when cooked sous vide?

I’m eating filet mignon. When I cook chicken on the grill is doesn’t flare up because it’s not loaded with fat. Best part you buy in bulk so your freezer is always loaded.

my favorite meat of course is simple pot roast.....nothing better than a 7blade chuck roast cooked perfectly until it falls apart and it makes the best gravy and of course REAL peel yourself potatoes....

but even 7 blade roasts are outrageous....
