The CDC document is real, as is this idiotic misinterpretation of it to get the credulous wound up.

"This document presents considerations from the perspective of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) for implementing the shielding approach in humanitarian settings as outlined in guidance documents focused on camps, displaced populations and low-resource settings."

They're talking about ways to limit spread in refugee camps and other humanitarian settings.

It's right there in the very first sentence but reprehensible people misrepresent the document to get a few clicks and moments of attention.
