I also wonder what would have happened if we had no vaccines, no drug trials that pointed to what worked, no President tracking equipment, signing orders and giving the CDC blind hell over not getting out supplies and tests and regeants or even getting mailing labels right, and equal hell to state disaster preparedness for lack of basic PPE supplies which he had to use the War Powers to pull out of air. i.e., a Democrat in the WH. I think we’d be about where Brazil and Peru are now.
And I think it’s a miracle of sorts that we’re where we are now - with choices. I think it’s amazing we have new drugs that may all be mostly experimental, but they’re working, and not only that, but a choice of not one but three vaccines.(and more if you go offshore). I’ve never in my life been offered more than one. Or seen so much research go into a disease in so short a time by so many researchers that have increased in and out of hospital options. We’re lucky to be in the USA and I don’t let anyone make me feel like we aren’t.
