My dear fellow FReepers, please lift my husband and my sweet kitty "Sam" up in prayer. Started behaving poorly last evening, fever, lethargy, loss of appetite, not much interested in water, and diarrhea.
Not vomiting which is good. Today started treatment with cat-specialized probiotic and giving unflavored Pedialyte, from giving water plain last night to morning.
Dear Lord Jesus, we don't have the funds for high vet fees. Please heal our big kitty baby. Please show us what to do. Amen.
I have prayed, and agree with some other Freepers-take the cat in for a Vet visit. That at least is something you can do.
Hang in there.
I will.
I may be able to help with the Vet Billâ¦. Just let me know. IâÂÂve been in that same situation beforeâ¦. Just let me know!
Prayers for Sam’s quick recovery. We love our little friends.
Prayers for your cat’s health and healing.
Prayers for your dog, too.
Prayers for your dog as well. 20 years is a long run for a dog or cat. Never had one (cat) last past 14 1/2.
I had a calico (gray, tan & white) kitten named Peanut, too. She was tiny but bulked up a bit like her daddy. She had health issues (respiratory), and may have had leukemia (her siblings and dad had it). She used to go outside for the day and come inside to sleep at night. Sadly, one weekend day she went out as usual and just vanished without a trace. She’d have turned 15 this year. We had her mom until she died of cancer of the mouth when she was just short of 14 back in 2013. Had a sick young cat, Buffy, that we had to have euthanized back in May, only about 3 years old.
I miss them all.
Thanks for the prayers, who would have thought he would live 20 years. 16-17-18 years is common for a Schnoodle, But 20? It’s kind of like meeting a human who is 102 years old. You don’t meet them often, but they are out there!!
Good advice FRiend, but the Kitteh belongs to Patriot777.
May God bless
😌
I’m sorry to hear that. Funny though, isn’t it, how they all develop their own little personalities?
“Muffin’’ our calico is a little diva. She won’t eat unless her bowl is spotlessly clean.
Yup, just like people. Fortunately still have 2 left. Both were ferals who showed up in our yard, but took awhile to tame and get indoors. One got out the other day, had a fit about that, but she came back after almost 2 hours wandering about in our back woods.
