I need to check my paypal, I’ve used to donate to Project Veritas. Maybe they locked mine too.
They’ve been sending me all their stupid credit card ads, and I just used them last week for something, so I didn’t suspect anything. But when I went to their site, I entered the login page, put in my info, and it acted different than it had before.
First were the Captcha hurdles. Fine. Then it took me to a page where it wanted a mobile number, and that was like a brick wall. I could not get into my account without one! I went to their help page and typed in “no mobile number”. That did not compute with them, and there was no help for that issue.
So I looked up their phone number, dialed, and their robot answered and told me there would be an excessively long wait time, due to many calls overloading their system. But, it assured me, it recognized the number I was calling from (my land line) as being “in their system”. However in order to further securely verify my identity, it wanted to know the last 4 digits of my SS number! WTF? I hung up. I had never given Paypal that information, and I was not about to.
This sucks. All I wanted to do was transfer my balance to my bank account and close my Paypal account. Now I can’t even get into it.
OMG!!! How horrible. I tried a while ago but it would not recognize me using a different computer! So I am going to use the same old one and see if I can get on. If I can, I’m going to transfer every $ back to the bank or donate or something. If I have to call, I’ll stay on all day if necessary.
I only have a few hundred $ but that’s a lot to me, I don’t want the enemy to have it.
