The Dixie fire in CA is real, and was not started with energy beams.
~~~~~~~~~~
I don’t doubt that there really was a fire.
I hadn’t heard this round was energy beams but believe prior times technology has been used and watching demonstrations of mil energy weapons look like they would get the job done..
But this time I just assumed based on what Q had said - forest fires to get money/federal funding. Other theories are Agenda 21 (forcing higher concentration housing by burning people out) or maybe (gulp) prepping terrain for movement of ground forces.
It’s nt that forests can’t burn, or any fire is arson. But the fires a year or two ago were not like others (burn patterns, max temperatures), etc.
I see, I wasn’t sure what you meant. Usually, for years, the majority of fires in CA are arson/homeless people. Last year was an incredible year for arson in OR and CA, didn’t really check WA. All other fires are lightning, and this year there have been many thunderstorms in CA and OR and many lightning fires.
Of course they would not become megafires if there was proper forest management, which President Trump tried to implement, but the states that needed to do it refused to do. I read about 2 weeks ago (or 3?) that Gov. Nuisance finally used some $ (not enough) to send teams to forests to try to reduce the fuel load. Too late of course.
Environazis are the primary cause of forest fires as many are larded into the Dept of the Interior which oversees public lands (BLM, US Forest Service) and they drag their feet, are lazy, and then enviros file lawsuit after lawsuit to gum up the works with lawfare.
If the forests were managed properly forest fires would barely be a blip on the screen.
And to add to the misery, CA, at least the northern half, had very scant rainfall last winter, lowest on record. My best friend who lives in Placerville said her area had 3 inches all winter. Less than many deserts.
Just noticed this:
” But the fires a year or two ago were not like others (burn patterns, max temperatures), etc.”
I don’t know about that, I read Inciweb and Calfire as well as ODF (OR Dept of Forestry) constantly (obsessively...?) in the summer, being surrounded by a gazillion acres of national and state forests. I have never read anything that the fires the last year or two were unusual in patterns or max temps. Just more arson esp last year, some around same time frames plus arsonists seen and more than a few arrested.
PG&E is a very bad actor in CA fires. Turns out the Slater fire that almost got to us was not arson after all but PG&E. Which I consider arson.
