All hearken back to Ouroboros, the ancient symbol usually misunderstood. The serpent Ouroboros eats its own tail, thus refreshing and replenishing itself. It is the image of creation, no beginning and no ending, able to self exist with nothing added and nothing subtracted... but always changing yet remaining the same == infinity.
