The decision to miss the May 1st deadline in Afghanistan was a purely political one.
Biden could not stomach the idea of Trump getting credit for ending the war. He chose to do it on his own terms, with his own plan. “What difference does a few months make?” he probably muttered to himself between ice cream cones.
The difference was violating an agreement made with a volatile group, not known for their patience or leniency. The difference was 4 extra months of planning and execution of their takeover, during the prime fighting season. The difference was no consideration was put into HOW we would get people out before the collapse.
Joe Biden owns this, and he owns the fact that it was more important to him to deny Trump a win than to protect Americans.
Biden figured that no matter what happened the LSM would carry water for him and pat him on the back if all went well and blame Trump if it didn't.
He must be SHOCKED that the LSM didn't quite come through for him.
Some are starting to turn back to giving him a pass but it's too late, the country sees Bye-done for what he is, an incompetent loser.
Just wait till the reports of the slaughter of Americans and Afghan SIV holders starts coming in.
