I could be confused (because I’ve read that too) and I haven’t researched, but I did take a look at the FDA website here: https://www.fda.gov/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/comirnaty-and-pfizer-biontech-covid-19-vaccine
On August 23, 2021, the FDA approved the first COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will now be marketed as Comirnaty, for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA), including for individuals 12 through 15 years of age and for the administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals.
If I’m reading it correctly, fully approved for 16 and older, but still under EUA for 12-15 year olds? That one paragraph is all I’ve read so I could be totally wrong.
Yes I just wanted sounds like, fully approved for everybody 16 and older.
How could it be though? It hasn’t undergone the years of testing. And there’s no information whatsoever on reproductive issues and how it affects the next generation.
From https://www.fda.gov/drugs/development-approval-process-drugs
Before a drug can be tested in people, the drug company or sponsor performs laboratory and animal tests to discover how the drug works and whether it’s likely to be safe and work well in humans. Next, a series of tests in people is begun to determine whether the drug is safe when used to treat a disease and whether it provides a real health benefit.
I don’t think any of that happened.
I have about 10 peach recipes I’ve downloaded, I really want to try the fresh peach ice cream first. So I’ll head to the store and then to Lowe’s to get a dehumidifier. Of course the ice cream ingredients comes first :-)
That’s what I heard on the radio earlier.
