‘Go for gold’: HSC students to get Pfizer vaccines
New South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazzard says grade 12 students from the eight impacted local government areas have a “golden opportunity” to get vaccinated at Qudos Bank Arena next week.
“We’ve seen our Olympic stars go for gold, we’ve seen the most amazing stars in the Qudos Bank Arena … you have a chance to go to that stadium next week and actually land some gold by getting your first vaccination,” he said.
Mr Hazzard said up to 24,000 students would be receiving the Pfizer vaccine and this was the students’ “big chance to really go for gold” ahead of their HSC exams.
“New South Wales Health and education are doing everything to back you in and ensure that you can go safely to your HSC exams by October but what we really need you to do is go for gold next week.”
This was held from August 9 and 14. Year 12 students are approximately 16-17 years old. He said the parents can drop the kid off and wait outside to prevent overcrowding of the arena.
