I didn’t recognize the name so had to look her up.

Anne Perry (born Juliet Marion Hulme; 28 October 1938) is an English author of historical detective fiction, best known for her Thomas Pitt and William Monk series. In 1954, at the age of fifteen, she was convicted in the murder of her friend’s mother, Honora Rieper. She changed her name after serving a five-year sentence for Rieper’s murder.

Whoa. I’ve heard about writing about what you know, but I don’t think that’s quite what was meant! Looks like she’s been able to turn her life around; good for her.

I never knew that about her, for some reason they don’t put it on the bio on the books :-)

Yes interesting that she now writes about murders. I wonder why she only got five years. I’d actually like to know more about that!

Sorry it’s Wikipedia but they seem to have the most information. She should write about this, it’s actually much more elaborate than most of her plots.

I don’t think I’d want to spend time with either of them.
