I had to look that up. But this time I don’t think the vice president will allow it to continue very long. There’s going to be a cat fight.

It’ll be more than a cat fight. Harris will have to get a majority of the executive departments. And if Joe fights it, she has to get 2/3 of both Houses behind her.
Funny thing I just noticed...it says the VP shall continue to discharge the powers and duties as ‘Acting President’ not that the VP would become President.
And the wording where it talks about the President can send a written declaration that no inability exists (which is what pushes it to Congress) leads me to believe that the President can do that at any time during the office, not just right when the VP becomes Acting President.
But that’s my opinion-I’m not a constitutional lawyer!
