Yes. I didn’t think about how posters make a contribution to FR with their posts. LOL

My way of thinking is this....a troll-a true troll-who is going to post for free and are there to disrupt isn’t going to pay a message board they’re just there to troll.

But if a poster is a contributing (paying) member to the message board, then that person may have unpopular opinions which they express, but that’s not a true troll. That’s someone practicing free speech. They would be reported, same as now, and let the mods deal with them. They couldn’t arbitrarily be voted down by a clicke who prefer living in an echo chamber.

Lest anyone decides ‘what you’re trying to say is...’ I’m NOT suggesting only paying members are allowed to post. Simply suggesting that a member who pays to support the message board is not very likely to be a true troll.

I did see what was going in the live threads, and it was uncalled for.

I use to be a monthly by snail mail for years.
So I feel humbled and always respectful that I can come on here ,even though I cannot pay to be here anymore.
I avoid rude posts by the some and keep my place here for most my comments.

This is the best site with Mr.Jim Robinson and this thread is my home!
I also now and then use the Facebook FreeRepublic and the moderator Scott Heino on facebook does a great job on facebook freerepublic! Just piping in on my experience here for many years!
