Yeah it probably stays freshest that way. I like to plan though for a totally off-grid situation. Where we are in the backyard with a campfire cooking our coffee in an Old Fashioned camping percolator. Somehow that appeals to me. And it’s probably the worst-case situation.
Wish I had my parent’s percolator. We just made cowboy coffee, boil coffee grounds with water. It’ll grow hair on your chest!
