IF they are getting money from the gov’t, otherwise they should be free to run their org/business however they want.

Only bus. getting $ from gov should be contractors; don’t know how that works. But there should be some limits on what is demanded of or forced upon employees. I am not a libertarian.
Nor am I, business that drives away employees doesn't remain in business. Plenty of jobs for those that want to work.
