Another thing I forgot to mention (and this one is important). I used a salt pipe inhaler with 15% iodine solution. It burned my lungs like absolute hell the first time I used it and I coughed for about 30 minutes straight, but every day it got a little bit better. (I also didn't take a big inhale right off the bat after that first experience! More like little puffs.)

Here is the 15% Lugol's iodine. You can't get 15% on Amazon... only 1-2%. But you can buy it straight from Lugol's. I'm not sure if the % makes a difference, but this is what was recommended to me and if Amazon has removed it from their website... there's probably a good chance it is effective.
