Update on this morning’s search for what remains of the NAC supply: I found some NOW brand NAC at a Natural Grocers. I bought two, I’m still on the lookout for Jarrow brand NAC Sustain, which I have been taking now for 16 years. There is none to be found and I know I saw it on the shelf three weeks ago. So I asked the vitamin guy about it after I noticed that not only could I not find Jarrow NAC, but I couldn’t find any Jarrow on the shelves of any product. He told me that they were having supply issues with Jarrow “since Amazon bought them out and is shutting down entire product lines… and now that the FDA is making moves on NAC, we’re having trouble keeping it in stock.”

Amazon purchasing Jarrow (one of the best supplement companies in the biz, IMO) was news to me and I have not been able to find out any info on it online. Jarrow was taken over last October by an equity company called New Mountain Capital. So whether or not they are affiliated with Bezos or did a deal with him (hasn’t he stepped down anyway?) I don’t know. I just find it very curious that they have taken Over Whole Foods (also a major vitamin retailer) and now Jarrow so they can tell you what supplies you can or can’t purchase in regards to health (suspiciously in lockstep with the government FDA).

Remember a while back when that evil POS John McCain proposed legislation to limit or regulate the vitamin industry and the left had a hissy fit (only because he was a so-called Republican)? Well it looks like they’ve found a way to bring their corporate fascism down on the vitamin industry without having to legislate anything at all.

I was just at Sprouts and they too had been told to take the NAC of the shelves.

TPTB are trying their hardest to keep the American people from being responsible for their own health.
