I’m curious.

You asked the original poster, rudely, twice, for information that was readily available at the flccc site posted in the original vanity.

And other posters have also provided that information on the thread.

Then the original poster provided exhaustive links in the post immediately above yours.

So here’s what I’m curious about: since when is it the responsibility of a commenter on FR to do someone else’s research for them? This is happening all the time, and its new. Seems odd to me.

Read the insert. The notches on the plunger = so much in body weight. The brand’s can differ. Just make sure it’s Ivermectin with no other drug added.

I have been travelling a lot unvaccinated and took the FLCC ivermectin dose for prophylaxis (reduction in severity from a future infection, not to treat current/active infection).

I used horse paste Duramectin. Also took flcc doses of zinc, C, D. I read somewhere magnesium is a good idea too so I took some magnesium glycinate, a version that is absorbed better and doesn’t cause diarrhea.

The dose for me was 4 “clicks” on the ivermectin syringe. Supposedly you get a more reliable dose if you eat it with or just after a meal.

I also carried aspirin and melatonin that I would only take if I had an active infection, which didn’t seem to come. Maybe I fought of an asymptomatic infection, who knows.

I wasn’t really scared of covid except on the last day, when it seemed like a huge number of people were coughing in the airport.

It depends on the concentration of the paste.

The apple flavored tubes are about 6.1 grams at 1.87% concentration. Durvet says about 1 gram per 200 pounds of body weight. The apple flavored comes in a tube with a plunger that dispenses about 1 gram per click (equivalent to about 19 mg Ivermectin).

Durvet says for use in horses only. Dogs take Ivermectin too; it's in Heartguard.

For the horse paste, the PREVENTIVE dose for a person is exactly the same as the standard dose for a horse (0.2 mg/kg ≈ 0.09 mg/lb).

The paste dispenser looks like a syringe, but there is no needle. The plunger is also a measuring stick, and the numbers represent how much the horse weighs in pounds. It is 50-lb for each notch on the plunger. So a 200-lb horse (or a 200-lb person) would use four 50-lb notches on the plunger to dispense a standard preventive dose.

Measurement does not have to be exact. Round up to the next 50-lb increment. So if you weigh 220 lb, round up to 250 lb and use five 50-lb notches.

Also, the doses above are not what I got. For preventative, it says 9mg for day 1 and 3, and then every 2 weeks (140lbs)

I think pounds are pounds...whether equine or human.

Yes, but dosing may be different. Per the post above mine, prophylactic care happens to be the same dosage as horse worm treatment, so pounds = pounds. But if you have an infection, you need more, so pounds = 2x pounds.

I do not endorse any providers, and I will not get too specific, but here are a few:

1. Indiamart.com is like Ebay or Alibaba in India. Many pharmacies or drug stores in India offer ivermectin on this site. It probably takes 4 weeks to receive a shipment. You have to pick a seller, and each seller has their own homepage on the site, usually with a custom domain name. The prices are generally super low. You can contact several sellers to request pricing, then pick your favorite. You can haggle. They will arrange a prescription if needed. In my experience, customs may inspect the package but will allow it to be delivered with no issue.
2. Livestock supply stores do not require Rx for Ivermectin that is made for horses or other livestock.
3. FLCCC publishes a list of ivermectin-friendly doctors who will prescribe ivermectin if it is medically appropriate. However, they might not prescribe it, for example, if the patient is pregnant.

   • It is probably about $50 for a U.S. virtual doctor visit. You might need a follow-up office visit every 3 months to get prescription refills. You can find the cheapest U.S. pharmacy prices in your area at GoodRx.com. By the time you need a refill, you should have received your Indiamart order.
