The problem is that this study found no benefit from ALA, which is the Omega-3 fat in flaxseed. Our bodies only convert 15-20% of ALA into the EPA or DHA that the study showed were actually life giving.
I have read that the process for utilizing flax vs fish oil is different. Still, while flax may, or may not, not be as efficient, it is still a viable source. Fish oil is of no value if a person like myself won’t take it. ;-)
