Fauci was playing semantic games with the definition of “gain of function” and his argument about Covid-19 not being known to be one of the viruses the Wuhan lab created was a red herring.
No one needs to be a virologist to see the word games he was playing or to understand why someone plays word games like that.
Yep, to me he seems completely transparent at this point. He’s trying to hold up the façade by hiding behind a thin veil of “it depends what the meaning of ‘is’ is”.
He should be toast. We’d both be shocked if anything is actually done though.
