During an interview with NBC News, Putin said Russia was no worse than the United States in this regard, and used the government's handling of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot as an example.

Putin showed flashes of defiance when he was asked whether it was a "coincidence" that several other political rivals had been assassinated in recent years.

"We don't have this kind of habit, of assassinating anybody," Putin said when he was asked whether he ordered Navalny killed. (NBC News)

He then countered by asking whether the U.S. was guilty of assassinating Ashli Babbitt during the Capitol riot.

“Secondly, I want to ask you: Did you order the assassination of the woman who walked into the Congress and who was shot and killed by a policeman?” Putin said. “Do you know that 450 individuals were arrested after entering Congress? And they didn’t go there to steal a laptop. They came with political demands. 450 people have been detained. They’re facing jail time, from 15 to 20 years. And they came to Congress with political demands. Isn’t that persecution for political opinions?”

The FBI, and the rest of the three-letter federal LE agencies are corrupt to the core, and are beyond reform.

It’s been popular for many years, here on FR and elsewhere to dunk on local LE, and complain about the “militarization” of our local police. That, IMHO, is largely hyperbole when applied to the local cops, and especially local, elected sheriffs around the country. But all of those complaints, times ten, understate the problem when the topic shifts to a clear focus on the feds.

They truly are the enemy of the people.

Any solution, unlikely as it may be, will only come through local control of law enforcement, and a renewed commitment to constitutional principles at the level of the local, elected sheriff.

I started my wake up call re the liberals in our lives when I turned 40. Fortunately no liberals on both sides of our family and just a couple of libertarians on both sides of the our family.

By the time I turned 50, I had weeded most of the liberal so called friends. I tolerated them at church and in other functions. If they started their liberal B$, I would just say goodbye and leave.

My wife at times was not happy with me saying, “I don’t want to be in any so called social events with these liberals!”

She retired in her late 60’s, and she has evolved to the same zero libs in her life model. She is 80 something now and all of her friends are conservatives except for one long time 45 year friend. She has minimized her contact with that lib and tells her to keep her liberal $hit to her self and her family. We have labeled that lib as a FDR liberal because of her parents being FDR libs.

Our adult grand kids, nephews and nieces learned early not to be involved socially with liberals.
