That article says it’s something called Artemisia.

Check this quote and article out:

“WHO recognizes that traditional, complementary and alternative medicine has many benefits and Africa has a long history of traditional medicine and practitioners that play an important role in providing care to populations. Medicinal plants such as Artemisia annua are being considered as possible treatments for COVID-19 and should be tested for efficacy and adverse side effects. “

In fact, this plant has been used as a treatment in China and is capable of killing 98 percent of breast cancer cells in less than a day. To treat cancer can be done by consuming stew of leaves Artemisia Annua as often as possible, but in addition to consuming this, must also be balanced with drinking enough water so that substances can be carried properly by the blood.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ironically, the first listing for Artemesia I found said it is also called ‘Wormwood’.
Just a gentle reminder that we have to be careful about all options because if MAGA or others are known to use herbal remedies, they may try to propagate rumors about herbal remedies that are harmful, either produced by China or known to have risks etc. I’m not saying this is true about Atermesia - I dont’ know enough. But I thought the same thing when I read about a DIY nasal spray, or a commercial nasal spray good for Covid.
They can put their toxins in anything, so I think we have to be on our toes, praying for discernment, reading and verifying historical history for these compounds and treatments.
For example, there’s a statment that Artemisia has profound effects on cancer IN CHINA? Welp, how long has that been ‘true’? If it really did kill 98% of breast cancer cells over night, why is this the first time we’re hearing about it. If purchasing supplements, check to see where it’s made.
This isn’t new information - we do check and read anyway. I’m just thinking that as we reject the ‘shots’ we start hearing about Monkey pox, nasal sprays, flu shots and now an herbal rememdy. Some may be great. Some, not so great.
Here’s the quote that I find suspicious. There’s no way to verify medical claims made for patients in China.
https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/madagascar
Look at the coronavirus stats for Madagascar...
You can select countries to compare on the same chart.
I found the comparison between Portugal and Madagascar very telling.
The results are in Madagascar wins the covid management derby in all ways against all comparisons. (Ok, I did not check them all...)
Covid is a non issue in Madagascar!
Btw- on the link I posted to our world data:(above)
You can see that Madagascar has very low vaccination rates, and very low covid death rates. (Scrolling down)
Population @ 28 million people.
Under stress?
Google says:
Madagascar is currently growing at a rate of 2.68% per year. This is driven by its high fertility rate of 4.11 births per woman. Madagascar’s rapid population growth is putting the country under immense stress.
But no covid problem?!?!?
General info from Memorial Sloan Kettering (for whatever it’s worth):
https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/integrative-medicine/herbs/artemisia-annua
Purported Uses:
To treat malaria
A compound from artemisia is used in combination with other drugs to treat malaria. Patients need to be treated by a healthcare provider for this condition, and should not self-treat with artemisia for malaria.
To reduce inflammation
Preliminary studies suggest that artemisia may be helpful for hip or knee osteoarthritis, but more study is needed.
To treat cancer
Only a few safety studies in advanced cancer patients have been conducted, and have not shown a treatment response. In addition, patients need to be monitored for potential side effects. More studies are needed to determine the conditions under which compounds derived from artemisia may be safe and effective.
Side Affects:
Case reports
Hepatitis: One case was attributed to an herbal supplement containing artemisinin. Another case was linked to drinking artemisia tea to protect against malaria.
Anemia: Two cases of loss of healthy red blood cells after artemisinin-based treatment for malaria.
Hearing loss, ringing in the ears, and dizziness: Among several advanced breast cancer patients in a safety trial, and possibly related to oral artesunate, an active artemisia compound. The study drug was otherwise largely well tolerated among patients.
Skin rash: With topical use of artemisia.
As a reminder to all those who think we blindly follow (insert conspiracy theory du jour):
Q 4734 / 2683 / 2642 / 2604 / 2463 / 2393 / 2361 / 2352 / 1936 / 1822 - “RESEARCH for yourself.”
(Argument from the trolls: “Well, since you’re Research[ing] for yourselves”, you are blindly following Q. Hmmm...)
