We actually had one in northeast Dade county only a mile from the Broward line. NE 201 st. It was the only land in Dade county you could dig in and not hit coral rock.

Wow! And you didn’t hit the water table? Here you encounter water if you dig more than 4 feet or so.

One of my friends here in suburban PB County is lucky to have her backyard well dug right over an underground river! Says the water tastes very good, too! The rest of us get the yucky stuff only suitable for irrigation.
