I was saying in the beginning that there is a reason we have no vaccines for the common cold (which often is a type of coronavirus). Vaccines just aren’t very effective against these viruses that mutate so rapidly.

Another reason is that all vaccines carry some risk - and the common cold is simply not serious enough to make the risk worthwhile.

Colds can be unpleasant, but they are not life-threatening, and are short-lived.

Covid19 vaccinations are not worth the risk for the very same reason.

Washing hands and staying away from sick people help in not catching the common cold. People get vaxxed and think they don’t have to wash their hands anymore.
