I believe this to be true, and I also believe the “breach” was done with full cooperation of the Capitol Police. I’ve been to the Capitol since the Capitol Visitors Center was opened, and it is a hardened Federal facility - no one just opens the doors and walks in.
So if the FBI knew there was going to be a hostile crowd, and decided to enable the breach, how would they know the protesters WOULDN’T be armed? Were they actually willing to risk the killing of Congress members? Were they HOPING for that?
Officers “stood by” and did nothing. Peaceful protesters asked the officers to DO SOMETHING to stop those who were attacking the building/smashing things and they refused to act.
As with Charlottesville the entire crowd was painted with a broad brush by Obama voting Democrats who were bad actors instigating a riot.
