Much easier ways to discretely take out someone rather than a high profile incident where hundreds died.
And hundreds of Navy personnel would have been involved in a live shoot, there is no way hundreds of young enlisted troops would have been kept quiet.
No NOTAM in effect advising of live fire in the area. Another point that makes clear no live shoot.
4’ long, flay painted missile, missile plume burns out a few seconds after launch, no way anyone can see that thing from miles away,
Abrupt climb caused by fuselage breakup and it no longer controlled flight.
The list is endless on the silliness of the conspiracy theorists
For conspiracy theorists the lack of poof of a cover-up is proof of how good the cover-up is.

I know many folks believe that massive coverups over a long period of time are not possible, but I am going to show you one where _no-one_ _ever_ talked and hundreds of government employees knew about this. It was only discovered after all the participants were dead--and by a professor digging around in the dusty archives.

They just murdered the reporter who broke the 1996 Clinton-Lynch tarmac meeting because the rest of the media dutifully stayed quiet about it. Not one peep from anyone.

The Navy personnel involved were probably killed in an accident. We would never know.

Yup. Although I have recently been made aware that there were people still alive on the Thresher for a day or so after it was disabled. They just released a report on this which details the submarine "Seawolf" activities. They reported 37 active pings from the Thresher after it was regarded as "lost."

I agree, I spent 3+ years aboard Navy ships, and nothing stays secret for long among a ships crew. Especially in terms of using firepower.
If a US Navy ship had brought down Flt 800, word would be out hours after that ship docked.
